Two men are being hunted by police after an attempted armed robbery at a store in Haverhill.

The incident occurred at around 7.35am today (Friday, May 9) at Primrose Mini Market in Primrose Hill.

Two men wearing masks entered the shop and one was brandishing a gun, described as a pistol.

They attempted to steal alcohol from a fridge but left empty-handed.

The men are both described as white and aged between 18 and 20.

The first man was around 6ft 1in tall, wearing a red hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms, with a handkerchief over his face.

The second man is described as around 5ft 5in tall wearing a black jacket and a black balaclava.

The store remains closed with the shutters down after the incident.
