A judge has freed on bail a Kedington man convicted of supplying a controlled drug.
Brendon Jackson, 28, of Westward Deals, was found guilty in July of handing a bottleof heroin substitute to his cousin who drank from it and then died.
The man who died was Daniel Boyle, 24, from Haverhill, who worked s a steel erector.
Jackson had denied the offence which took place while the two men were staying work work colleagues at a motorway service area at Bristol in October 2011.
Yetserday (Monday) Jackson was brought back to Ipswich Crown Court where his legal team applied to Judge Rupert Overbury for him to be granted bail.
After considering submissions from Jackson’s lawyers and the Crown Prosecution Service, Judge Overbury said he was prepared to grant Jackson bail.
Bail was granted until Jackson is sentenced, on a date yet to be fixed,
