Hundreds of entrants have now signed up to take part in the Girls Night Out charity walk, but organisers are calling for more Haverhill women to join them.

The annual moonlight Girls Night Out walk sees women wear pyjamas and flashing bunny ears to walk either 11.2 or six miles around Bury St Edmunds.

In September 2013 1,000 women took part, raising £115,000 for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

With four months to go until this year’s walk, on Saturday, September, 13 more than 330 have already registered.

This is already more than at the same time last year, which was a record breaking year for participants.

All entries received by May 31 will qualify for a special reduced early bird registration offer of £10 (all entries received after this date will cost £15).

Jenny Baskett, hospice events and challenges fundraiser, said: “Girls Night Out might take place in Bury, but we always have a good contingent of women from the Haverhill area who join us for a bit of a party.

“We would love to see more.”

To sign up, fill in a form (available from our Haverhill shop or the hospice itself), along with your registration fee, to: Events and Challenges Fundraiser, St Nicholas Hospice Care, Hardwick Lane, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 2QY.
