Youth Skills Manager Karen Chapple is looking to place a number of young people in apprenticeships. In the run up to National Apprenticeships Week we will be showcasing some of these talented young people looking for their first step into a new trade.
Jamie Lane, 16, would love an apprenticeship in photography or working with children as she also loves art.
She left Castle Manor Academy with eight GCSE passes including Maths, English and Photography and has since attended the Pathways to Employment programme. Jamie achieved Star Student on this 12 week course. She also gained her Level 1 in Maths and Level 2 in Employability Skills. She is currently attending the 12 week Princes Trust Team Programme.
Jamie is quietly spoken and is a determined and loyal young person who has proven to have excellent attendance. In her spare time she enjoys revamping old clothes to new exciting garments. Her aim is to grow in confidence and achieve something she can be proud of in life.
