A woman was sexually asasulted in Kettering town centre on Friday, July 11

Police are appealing for information following a spate of catalytic converter thefts in Haverhill.

Converters from two Mercedes Sprinter vans were targeted. They had been parked on an industrial estate in Boundary Road.

One converter was successfully stolen while the other, that was fitted with an anti-theft device, was left in place.

It is believed the incidents took place between 3pm on Tuesday, July 29 and 7.30am, Thursday, July 31.

These events were followed by an incident in Headland Avenue between 9pm on Wednesday, July 30, and 7am on Thursday, July 31, where another Mercedes Sprinter van was targeted.

Another incident in Haverhill took place between 7.30pm Thursday July 31, and 7.30am today (August 1) in Rookwood Way where the converter was stolen from another Mercedes Sprinter van.

Police are urging the public to keep their vehicles secured and to use alarms, cctv and other security measures to deter thieves.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have information on these incidents on 101, quoting reference number: HH/14/1500.
