Haverhill Chamber Of Commerce celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a Cheese & Wine evening at Days Inn Haverhill recently.
One hundred chamber members were taken through 14 wines supplied by Steve Filby of C2C wines and he was accompanied by Catalina from Portugal who had expert knowledge of her family’s vineyard in Portugal.
Each wine was accompanied by award winning cheeses from Delilicious in Long Melford and
Chamber chairman Paul Donno said he was honoured to be the chairman for the 10th anniversary having been the original chairman a decade earlier.
He was buoyant about the future of Haverhill, explaining that the investment in housing for North West Haverhill was good for the town, although the chamber would like some more executive style housing and the new Haverhill Research Park with the talent coming from the towns academies is showing a very bright future for Haverhill.
The event was in aid of Reach and the chamber hope to raise in excess of £1,000 for the charity.
Organiser Tracy Faulkner v said: “We are really pleased to have so many members at our event and to raise so much money for the charity is fantastic.”
Haverhill Chamber of Commerce will announce the final figure in the next few weeks
