Cinema 'must leave 30 seats unsold'

A GRANDMOTHER has criticised Haverhill Cineworld after two members of her family were prevented from buying tickets because the auditorium was sold out — even though about 30 seats remained unoccupied.

Mavis Coleman had gone to the cinema on a Saturday morning to see Fantastic Mr Fox, one of its Movies for Juniors screenings, with her son and daughter-in-law and their three children.

They bought their tickets and waited in the auditorium until Mrs Coleman's daughter and 11-year-old granddaughter arrived to join them, saving two seats.

However, after queuing to buy their tickets they were told it was sold out, but after entering the auditorium to inform their family they were shocked to see a number of seats were still empty.
