Clare-based Sea Pictures Gallery is now staging its second exclusively photographic exhibition.

It focuses on the award-winning work of the British Institute of Professional Photographers’ Photographer of the Year 2013, Paul Coghlin FBIPP but includes many other professional photographers.

Paul’s series entitled “Equilibrium” won a Gold Medal in the recent BIPP competition which follows on from his Silver medal at the RHS for his 30 piece black and white flower study which the gallery showed last year.

For this exhibition two new photographers join the gallery – Paul Cooklin and Timothy Smith.

Tim’s work is digital whereas Paul Cooklin, having started as a digital photographer, has gone back to the darkroom to produce highly prized silver gelatin originals.

Outside of this landmark exhibition the gallery always stocks work by professional photographers, including wildlife photographer Rebecca Nason ARPS; award-winning landscape photographer Andrew Midgley as well as work from Trevor Allen and Glyn Barney ABIPP ASWPP.

If you like photography, you will love this exhibition.

It is a rare opportunity to see, close up, the work of some of the UK’s leading professional photographers.

Children are always welcome.
