Stour Valley Community School in Clare started Sport Relief fund-raising early when staff took place in a ‘Bake Off’ last week.
Each had two hours to prepare, bake and decorate a cake or pastries of their choice and were sponsored by students with the cakes, pastries and sausage rolls sold in the school the next day.
Lisa Kemp, from the school, said: “So far we have raised around £120 by selling all the cakes and pastries.
“Once we have collected the sponsor money in we will have a great start to our Sport Relief fund-raising.
“Then a winner will be announced and selected sponsors of the winning staff member will also win a prize.”
“Students and staff will be taking part in a Sport Relief Mile and various different activities in the upcoming weeks organised by the schools PE department.”
