Could you save a life?

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) are working closely with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to save lives by teaching the public to perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), in the style of the national television advert made famous by Vinnie Jones.

The Hard and Fast campaign is a simple way to keep the heart pumping if it has stopped, and can make the difference between life and death.

The Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service have kindly supplied a training room at thier Barkers Lane head quarters.

The courses will run from 6pm-8pm on the following dates – November 13 and December 11 2012, and January 7, 2013.

The courses last approximatley two hours, and on completion you will receive a certificate of attendance on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.

On the course you will learn how to perform CPR, and how to help someone who has a major bleed, is choking, needs to be put into the recovery position.

There is parking nearby and courses will be offered on a first come first served basis.

If the demand is very high other dates may be offered.

The courses are currently open to anyone 16 yrs and over, and are also being run for school age children in schools throughout Bedfordshire.

Take a chance, make Vinnie proud, telephone Bill Brady on 07767 013222, book a place now, stand out in the crowd when it matters.

Heartstart courses for the general public will run between November and January and if successfully attended may become a regular feature for 2013
