Criminal damage in Haverhill doubles in spate

The number of incidents of criminal damage in Haverhill doubled during a recent spate.

The number of incidents of criminal damage in Haverhill doubled during a recent spate.

Last week (from November 12 to 19) there were seven vehicles, three homes and four other buildings damaged.

Between November 5 and 11 there were 16 incidents in the town – double the weekly average of eight.

There was one home burglary in each week, with five burglaries from other building last week.

Haverhill Police Inspector Ferrie said: “There’s no clear reason why that should be.

“It’s a mixture of homes, other buildings and cars, so there’s no set pattern to it.”
