David Doughty will open his new town centre photography studio this weekend.

David has moved his business, The Gallery, from Lower Downs Slade to Queens Square to make it more accessible and central.

The shop will be opened at 10am on Saturday (March 3) by Haverhill mayor Pat Hanlon, and there will be face painting, balloons, an entertainer and singing by Jade Donno at the opening, from 10am to 2pm.

“This shop has easier access for disabled people and those with children, and we also have a purpose built studio now – rather than using a room we had to compromise with we have a purpose built one,” said David.

“It’s also closer to the town centre.”

The Gallery’s most popular product is the Baby Club, where parents get four shots of their child (under four) and a free photo and passport picture at the end of the term, as well as discounts at more than a dozen Haverhill businesses.

The business also offers family and pet photoshoots, make overs, framing, photo restoration and reprints, canvas printing, a video to DVD service and more.

David’s dog, golden doodle Alfie, will be in the new store with him.

David has been taking pictures since he got his first camera aged ten, inspired by his step father, an amateur photographer.

The Gallery had been at Lower Downs Slade for five years.
