Debut skiing trip for Clare school

A group of 43 students from Stour Valley Community School in Clare spent the recent half term in Austria on a skiing trip - the school’s first ever.

The students from the Cavendish Road school were accompanied by six staff for their week in Dachstein, enjoying great snow conditions, brilliant sunshine, fantastic accommodation and food.

A spokeswoman for the school said: “The behaviour of the students was exemplary, as commented on by the hotelier, coach staff and the restaurateur.

“The group returned injury free with great big smiles on their faces.”

The school now looks to hold more skiing trips in the future.
