Police investigating the death of a man in Lidgate on Tuesday 13 May are appealing for witnesses to a collision.
Police were called by the Ambulance service at approximately 10:30am reporting that a man had collapsed on the B1063 near to a section where road works were taking place.
Aidan Gallagher, 34, of Ipswich was taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital but sadly died en route.
A Home Office post mortem examination was held yesterday on Tuesday 20 May, which found that Mr Gallagher had internal injuries consistent with an impact.
Officers are asking for anyone who driving along the road at the time and may have witnessed the collision or who saw any vehicle with damage that may have been caused by a collision to get in contact.
Officers are also appealing to anyone who was driving a vehicle that was in collision on the B1063 road at Lidgate at this time to make contact with police.
