Students at Stour Valley Community School in Clare have been working really hard since September to prepare for its first ever whole school production of The Wiz, an upbeat adaptation of the classic Wizard of Oz.

From acting to singing, lighting to sound, costume design to set design, the students have been involved every step of the way and will be performing to packed audiences from February 12 to 14.

The Wiz is a 1978 musical film produced by Motown Productions and Universal Pictures, the latter released it, and is an urbanised retelling of The Wizard of Oz.

It was adapted from the 1975 Broadway musical of the same name.
