Duo appear in court for Haverhill jewellery theft

Two teenagers accused of carrying out a snatch and run theft from a Haverhill jewellers have appeared in court.

A 17-year-old male, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and Thomas Mahoney, 19, from Mill Hill, Haverhill appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates Court last Friday (25) charged with theft.

They are accused of stealing £8,784 from Griffiths Jones, in High Street, on January 22.

Both will return to the same court on March 22, where they will be committed to crown court.
