The past, present and future will be under the spotlight at the ambulance service’s annual meeting next week.

Chief Executive Dr Anthony Marsh will set out the improvements made to the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) during the 2013-14 Annual Public Meeting on Wednesday, 30th July, at Trinity Park in Ipswich.

Since Dr Marsh took over the Trust in January, more than 340 student paramedics have been offered jobs, with dozens already on training courses. As part of the fleet programme to have no ambulance older than five years by next April, nearly 130 have been replaced, and additional ambulances are on the road.

Before the annual meeting at 2pm, visitors will be able to see a small exhibition of stalls about Trust teams, including patient and public involvement, training and education, resilience, and communications. The normal bi-monthly public meeting of the Trust board will also take place at 11am.

There is ample parking onsite and directions can be found on the Trinity Park website.
