Following a number of requests from local businesses and enquiries at its Haverhill LEAP Centre, West Suffolk College will soon be starting ESOL classes (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
Students will be offered the opportunity to improve not only their spoken English but their reading and written English too.
Centre co-ordinator Elaine Simmons said: “We have had lots of enquiries from people of all nationalities who have moved in to the town and are looking to improve their English skills.
“As many of those enquiring were not able to travel to the main campus in Bury St Edmunds, we are keen to offer something locally.
“We are also keen to ensure that anyone who is working can access the classes.”
ESOL classes have now been scheduled to start on February 25 and will run for five weeks.
