Fairfields Farm Crisps crowned best in Essex

Colchester-based crisp producer Fairfields Farm Crisps has been crowned East of England Co-Op’s Sourced Locally Supplier of the Year for Essex, as voted by the public and shoppers at Co-Op.

The inaugural Supplier of the Year awards, celebrated at a ceremony at Wherstead Park, Ipswich, on Saturday (November 3), celebrated local producers from Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex which provide products for the supermarket’s Sourced Locally range.

Robert Strathern, whose family has been farming for three generations down on the family farm near Colchester, said: “We are over the moon to win this accolade and really pleased that all our hard work over the years has been recognised.

“We strive for excellence in our business and it is very gratifying to know that we are doing something right with the public and Co-Op customers.”
