Two vans were broken into in Haverhill and power tools stolen, bringing to five the total of vans either broken into or vandalised on the same night.
As with the three incidents previously reported by the Echo, the break-ins occurred overnight between Monday (June 30) and Tuesday (July 1) both taking place in Old Rope Walk.
The doors of a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a white Ford Transit van were opened by unknown means, with power tools stolen from the back of the Mercedes Sprinter.
Of the previously reported incidents on Monday night the first took place in a pub car park on Withersfield Road where the nearside quarter-light of a white Vauxhall Vivaro van was smashed to gain entry to the cab.
The glovebox was then searched, but it is not confirmed if anything has been stolen.
The other two offences both happened in Mallow Walk, where the offside quarter-light of a silver Renault Traffic van, along with the side window of Vauxhall Vivaro van were smashed, but no entry was gained to the vehicles.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact PC Matt Egan at Haverhill Police Station on 101 quoting reference HH/14/1302, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Anyone with information about the other three offences should call the same number/s and quote HH/14/1295.
Motorists are reminded to always remove property from inside their vehicles where possible. If for any reason tools and equipment have to be left in vans, it is advised to store them within a fixed and secure strongbox.
