Four people had to be cut free from their cars after an accident on the A1043 in Little Wratting yesterday (Monday, September 16).
The collision involved two cars and a lorry and happened at 4.15pm near the turn off for Broadlands, just outside Haverhill.
Two fire crews from Haverhill and one from Wickhambrook were in attendance, while an appliance from Clare was put on standby to cover Haverhill.
Casualties were trapped in each car and the road had to be closed while they were freed by firefighters.
Paramedics and police were also at the scene and the road had to be closed while the incident was dealt with.
The four casualties were all freed from the vehicles by 5.46pm and the fire crews returned to their stations by 6.09pm.
