Free computer courses for Havebury Housing tenants
Havebury Housing Partnership tenants wanting to learn how to surf the ‘net or brush up on their computer skills can take part in free computer courses.
The affordable homes provider is running monthly one hour sessions at Havebury House, Bury St Edmunds from today (Thursday, February 7).
Each month tenants will be able to learn new computer skills from how to use email and the internet to creating spreadsheets and writing letters.
The course will also teach tenants how to use social networking sites, how to use the internet safely and how to use computers for digital photography.
Karen Mayhew, chief executive, explained: “Being able to use computers can open up a wealth of opportunity and knowledge for tenants.
“Learning how to browse the web can go a long way in gaining independence and accessing information with so many resources available online.”
People attending the course can also take advantage of internet-ready refurbished computers or laptops for under £200 through the Get Online @ Home scheme.
For more details on the upcoming sessions, or to book a place, visit www.havebury.com or call 0300 3300 900.
