West Suffolk College is now offering Haverhill people FREE English and Maths courses in the town over the summer. These courses are for people in the Haverhill area who don’t already hold a grade C or higher in one of the subjects.

Many people would like to gain such a qualification but don’t think they have enough time.

The courses offer people the opportunity to gain a Functional Skill qualification in English or Maths. The classes run throughout the summer and ideal for anyone who needs to get a certificate in a hurry.

Best of all, the classes are FREE to anyone over the age of 19 who does not already hold a Grade C or higher and students can work towards an Edexcel certificate at either Level 1 or Level 2.

Haverhill Centre Elaine Simmons said, ‘We’re delighted to be able to offer these essential courses here in the town throughout the summer. It’s a great opportunity for people to gain a qualification which could really benefit them in their education and their future career.’

The classes are running: English - June 30 until August 11 between 9.3am-4pm (6hrs)

Maths: from July 2 until August 13 between 9.30 and and 4pm (6hrs) on 01440 712177 or email for more information haverhill@wsc.ac.uk
