More than 150 families were undeterred by the wet weather as they enjoyed a fun open day at a Haverhill nursery.

Dizzy Ducks Day Nurseries, in Homefield Road, held the Carnival Open Day on Sunday (June 29).

It was open to anyone and gave families the chance to see what the childcare providers have to offer.

The fun included a bouncy castle, barbecue, indoor disco, face painting, lots of games and prizes and special guest Magic Olly – who was a massive hit with the children and adults alike.

Local police made a couple of visits, giving excited youngsters the chance to look around the car and hear the sirens.

Gemma Green, Dizzy Ducks marketing and business development manager, said: “We had over 150 families attend throughout the day and lots of new families booking in for our holiday club for the summer holidays as well as breakfast and after school club – it really was an enjoyable and successful family day out.”

Dizzy Ducks provides out of school clubs, funded places for two, three and four year-olds or planned events.
