Hard drive and sat nav snatched from car in Haverhill

An Omega hard drive, a Garmin 1400 MT satellite navigation system and a large Nike holdall containing various personal documents were stolen from a car in Colbeck Road, Haverhill, between 9pm on Sunday (January 6) and 9.45pm the next day.

Thieves grabbed the haul by smashing the rear nearside passenger window of the silver Vauxhall Astra.

Anyone with information can call police on 101.

This followed a sate of six thefts from cars over the night of January 3/4.

“Don’t leave valuables on display – take valuables out of the glove box and into your house,” said Pc Will Wright from Haverhill’s Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).

“Be smart, not stupid.

“Also, remove your sat nave cradle and wipe away the marks that your sat nav holder may have left on the windscreen.”
