Haverhill’s Furniture and Foodbank is appealing for your vote in the Lloyds Bank Community Fund.
The two REACH projects have been shortlisted for the Lloyds Bank Community Fund 2013 in St Edmundsbury.
REACH has a chance to be awarded a £3,000 grant from Lloyds to enable it to continue doing community work.
The Haverhill branch of Lloyds Bank nominated the two projects earlier on this year and REACH were successful in getting to the voting stage which is running until November 1.
REACH projects director Henry Wilson said “We were absolutely thrilled to receive a call from Lloyds Bank in the summer and never really expected to get this far, so to be within a shout of receiving £3,000 is fantastic. There’s nothing like local support.
“£3000 will make a huge difference to REACH and will enable us to go on supporting many families in town who find themselves – often through no fault of their own – in difficult circumstances.”
Demand for REACH services are at an all-time high and sadly not expecting to reduce soon.
The Foodbank provides emergency food parcels and the Furniture Bank recycles good quality second hand furniture for individuals who have need.
