St Felix Roman Catholic Church Haverhill will be consecrated next Friday

St Felix Roman Catholic Church Haverhill will be consecrated on Friday (March 14).

The catholic church, in Queensway, will be consecrated by Bishop Alan Hopes at 7pm.

The new church building was completed in February 2012, as before then the town’s catholic community had congregated at a temporary building on the same site since the 1960s.

Father Michael Teader is the parish priest, and St Felix has a diverse and multicultural community.

St Felix is linked with the school of the same name in School Lane.

Mass is taken at 6.30pm on Saturdays, 10am Sundays, 6pm Tuesdays, 9.30am Wednesdays, midday Thursdays and 10am Fridays.

The church is open from 11am to midday on weekdays for private prayer.
