DB Sheet Metals giving donations from Steeple Bumpstead Preschool
A Haverhill company has helped to raise £500 for a village preschool by storing unwanted clothing and donations.
DB Sheetmetals Ltd in Piperell Way has again helped to raise much needed funds for Steeple Bumpstead Preschool.
By storing bags of unwanted clothes, toys and shoes donated by pre-school parents over the last four months, the firm has enabled the nursery to raise an anticipated £500 to be spent on improvements to the children’s outside play area.
The collection is part of the successful Bags 2 School scheme where charities can be paid for collecting unwanted items.
Co-chairman of the pre-school Claire Richardson said: “We are incredibly grateful to DB Sheet Metals for storing the bags for us.
“If we weren’t able to take bags over a period of time, the amount we could collect would be a fraction of this size.”
