Anglian Water was criticised after a blocked sewer left a Haverhill pathway flooded with raw sewage.
Water and sewage flowed from a manhole in Ann Suckling Road near New Cangle Primary School.
One resident of Friars Close, Dave Johnston, said the pathway had flooded in the same way several times in recent years and MP Richard Spring, who said he was ‘truly appalled’ at the latest incident, wrote to Anglian Water to see what they were doing to fix the problem.
A barrier was put up along the Railway Walk in Haverhill to prevent motorcyclists using it.
Town councillor Gerry Kiernan worked closely with town beat officer, PC Rupert Beynon, to identify problems along the walk, leading to the installation of the barrier.
Haverhill Golf Club member Robert Cramsie and his friend Toby Chambers were holidaying in St Moritz after winning the break on the BBC Lottery programme’s Jet Set series.
The duo appeared on the show, an elimination competition run on Saturday night TV.
