Police arrested eight people from Haverhill and the surrounding villages as part of a massive campaign targeting drug offences.
Cocaine and heroin was seized during the raids, which took place over a two-day period.
Two of the arrested appeared in court.
Robert Riley of Forest Glade, Haverhill and Justine O’Reilly both appeared at Bury Magistrates Court where they were both charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug.
The family of a student from Balsham who died suddenly while working in Canada raised £800 in her memory for a charity working with children in Brazil.
Selina Miller, 20, was struck down with a flu-like illness while on a placement working at the Banff Springs Hotel and died hours after arriving at a hospital.
She had visited Brazil three times to see a friend and knew the plight of the street children there, leading to her parents asking for mourners at her funeral to give donations instead of flowers.
The money went to Action for Brazil’s Children’s Trust.
