Six Haverhill businesses have been nominated as among the ‘most loved’ in the country.

CXG Property Services were voted most loved letting agents in the UK while Finishing Touch Interiors were voted most loved interior design business

Aerocycles is the country’s second most loved cycle accessory shop, while CW Couriers – which was the UK’s most loved courier last year – came in second this time around.

Dizzy’s Day Nursery came second in the most loved nursery category and Tony Strowger Jewellers is Britain’s third most loved jeweller.

Dizzy’s Day Nursery was also voted the most loved business in Haverhill, followed by Avant Garde Hair Boutique and the CXG.

The results were announced at last Thursday’s (February 21) bestofhaverhill meeting at the Days Inn Hotels, with the voting a culmination of the 14 Days Of Love campaign leading up to Valentine’s Day (February 14) when businesses that are members of bestof franchises across the country canvass customers for votes to see who can get the most to be declared the ‘most loved’.

Elaine Carr, owner 0f the bestofhaverhill, presented the awards and commented on the qualities that had been highlighted by customers.

“Haverhill is a small town, but it’s a town full of talent,” she said.

CXG won their gong having finished runner up last year and won in 2011.

Owner Robin Pilley said: “We were determined to get out title back, and we were obviously very pleased to win, and to be voted most loved in the UK is very satisfying.

“Haverhill is a progressive town and hopefully we’ve now done our bit to put it on the map.”

Liz Nunn, owner of Dizzy’s Day Nursery, said: “We’re really pleased to get this and we’ve never really gone in for an award.

“It’s a useful award to have as we’ve been in the town a while so it’s good to see what people think of us.

“It’s a real boost for the team as we spend time working out how to develop and improve, so hopefully these will be the first awards of many.”
