The annual Floral Art Competition run by Haverhill & District Flower Club proved to be the most successful yet when it was staged last Friday (August 16).
The event at Haverhill Arts Centre drew in an impressive 25 exhibitors who produced a total of 41 displays.
Exhibitors came from across the eastern region to take part, coming from places including Bishops Stortford, Ipswich, Stowmarket, Saffron Walden, Harleston and Mildenhall, to name just a few.
National level judge Lionel Clarke was also on hand to run his expert eye over the proceedings.
Club secretary, Valerie Phillips, said: “I’m sure it was the most successful we’ve held because we had in the region of 1,000 visitors.
“Not only that, many of our exhibitors, the ones from further away, came back on the Saturday and several of them came down the High Street and had a look around and went into the shops and bought stuff off the market, which is good for the local economy.
“We are all very pleased and we are all very grateful for the support that we received from Haverhil Town Council.”
