Haverhill History Group receives funding help

Suffolk County Councillor Anne Gower has donated £720 to Haverhill and District Local History Group.

The money from Cllr Gower’s locality budget and will help buy archival storage materials for photographs and newspapers in the group’s history centre in Haverhill Arts Centre.

The group’s chairman, Roy Brazier, said: “Photographs and local newspapers are amongst our most popular resources.

“This generous donation from Cllr Gower will help house our ever growing collections in the best way possible.

“The History Centre relies on donations like these to provide the people of Haverhill and

surrounding area local access to archives.”
