A street litter pick organised by the KICS Residents Association in Haverhill proved a success when it was held on Sunday (Oct 6).
The clean up in Clements Close, Clayhive Drive and some other neighbouring streets and was attended by KICS members and non members, including some children, Mayor Roger Andre and others.
KICS chairman, Micka Guerit, said: “Some people stopped and asked what it was all about.
“They all said that they would really appreciate it if people could organise this kind of event in their streets as well although they also agreed that we shouldn’t have to in the first place!
“The number of rubbish bags collected was impressive.”
