A man has been charged with a burglary in Haverhill.
Police charged Alexander Hockett, 32, from Elmdon Place, and he is due to appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, August 28).
Hockett was arrested by police on yesterday (Tuesday, August 27) and taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.
He was subsequently charged with the burglary of a home in Beaumont Vale between Tuesday (August 20) and Friday (August 23).
Police have reminded residents to lock doors and windows after a spate of burglaries in the town.
Officers continue to ask residents to remain vigilant and contact police on 101 if they have any information in relation to burglaries.
Four homes were targeted over the weekend, and the recent spate of ‘creeper’ burglaries has often seen burglars breaking in through an unlocked window at night.
