Haverhill Police are continuing to address the Safer Neighbourhood Team’s (SNT) priorities by issuing parking tickets and having speed checks.

Some 44 tickets were issued to cars parked illegally on Haverhill High Street in the fortnight following the priority setting meeting on December 9.

A speed check on Wratting Road caught one driver doing 47 miles and hour in the 30 zone.

Police are working with the town’s larger employers to educate cyclists about the need to have lights and high visibility equipment, and will then issue warnings and ultimately tickets.
