Haverhill Rugby Club shows support for medical charity

Haverhill Rugby Club has given its backing to a life-saving charity by making Haverhill Community First Responders its nominated charity of the year.

The club decided to support the charity in the wake of some high profile incidents in sport over the past year.

During the year the club will hold various fund-raisers, from bucket collections to sponsored events, starting at Saturday’s Suffolk Shield Semi-Final meeting with Mistley, which takes place at Castle Playing Fields, in School Lane, from 2pm.

Volunteers from Haverhill Community First Responders will also be at the match to talk to anyone interested in finding out more about the organisation and how to get involved.

Responders are sent by the ambulance service to life threatening and serious incidents, and more of them are needed to volunteer their time in Haverhill.
