Samuel Ward Academy's head of internationalism, Jan Bergau, back row, far left, says farewell to some of the international students who have been studying at the school for the past year
AFTER a very successful school year with Samuel Ward Academy, a group of 21 international sixth form students from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland and Norway have gone home.
During their time at the Haverhill school the students have been studying a wide variety of subjects.
A spokeswoman for Samuel Ward Academy said of the students time at the school: “We have received very positive feedback from the students including, ‘I loved the fact that the lessons were more creative than we have at home.
“We also can use school equipment for course work so you learn more than at home where you are just sitting and listening in every lesson.’
“We wish them all well and we look forward to welcoming students from Germany, Austria, Canada and Finland next year.”
