Coupals Primary School in Haverhill is gearing up to take part in a national healthy cooking challenge - and the goal is to get 300 or more people involved.
Pupils, parents and teachers will be joined by members of the community on Thursday, March 7 as they battle it out in the Let’s Get Cooking BIG Cookathon.
The idea is to get as many people as possible cooking either a vegetable or chicken korma between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
Sandra Linnane, the school’s Let’s Get Cooking co-ordinator, said the aim is to beat the target of 300 people cooking in the same place on the same day.
A challenge has also been made to the pupils, their families and members of the community to find the most unusual place to be cooking the recipe.
She said: “It’s a massive challenge to have so many people cooking all on the same day, but we’re determined to help Let’s Get Cooking notch up its biggest total yet.”
The school also hopes to win part of a £5,500 prize pot available as part of the challenge.
