Home security warning after Haverhill burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses and reminding residents to not to leave their keys near to locks after a burglary in Haverhill.

The incident occurred at around 5am this morning, Wednesday 21 May, in Ash Grove.

The occupants were woken by a bang followed by noises downstairs and so called the police, who arrived at the scene shortly afterwards.

Officers found a side door open and it would appear that the offender had reached in through the cat flap and accessed the door key which was hanging on a hook beside the door. No items were found to have been stolen.
