Imperial War Museum Duxford is partially open after wind damage to buildings

Imperial War Museum (IWM) Duxford is largely open today (Monday, February 17) after being forced to shut due to wind damage to buildings yesterday (Sunday, February 16).

The AirSpace Exhibition is shut and half term activities temporarily suspended but the rest of the museum is open.

The latest statement from the museum read: “The damage to the roof of AirSpace has been assessed this morning and we are fully aware of the roof’s condition.

“We are now working with the original building contractor to determine the necessary next steps to repair and make good the damage.

“As we are not able to offer visitors the full IWM Duxford experience, we have reduced our admission prices to £12 for adults and £10 for seniors.

“Admission for children aged 15 and under is free.

“Our half term family activities will be available from Tuesday (February 18).”

IWM Duxford was forced to shut for several days last month due to wind damage.

More to follow.
