Imperial War Museum (IWM) Duxford is still closed after buildings at the airfield were damaged by the recent storm.

Initially musuem chiefs said it would be closed over the weekend and opened again yesterday (Monday, January 5), yet now say it will remain closed ‘until further notice’.

A statement on the IWM website reads: “IWM Duxford remains closed until further notice whilst building damage caused by recent high winds is made safe.

“Further updates will be posted here once the situation changes.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

More to follow.

The latest updates will be posted on the IWM website – www.iwm.org.uk/visits/iwm-duxford
