Laptops stolen in Bardwell
Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that took place in Bardwell.
It took place at some point overnight between Thursday 24 January at 6.40pm and Friday 25 January at 7.30am at Bardwell Primary school on School Lane.
The offender(s) gained access to a classroom area which contained a metal cabinet which held a collection of Samsung netbook laptops - all 20 contained in the cabinet were stolen. The total value stolen is estimated to be around £4500. Nothing else seems to have been taken in the burglary. Police are looking at any possible links between this crime and recent other burglaries from schools where laptops have been stolen.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during the times stated, has knowledge of the crime or the current whereabouts of the laptops should contact PC Antony Orr at Bury St Edmunds police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
