Letter: Mencap

Help needed

Cambridgeshire Mencap, a local learning disabilities charity, urgently needs more volunteers.

Volunteering for us is as simple as giving up a bit of your time which could change yours and someone else’s life!

Cambridgeshire Mencap is looking for volunteers for its Family Support and Befriending Schemes.

We match volunteers with children and young people with learning disabilities.

It only takes a few hours of your time and it really does change lives!

Volunteering for Cambridgeshire Mencap can be a rewarding experience.

The charity provides a variety of services and support for children, young people and adults who have learning disabilities across Cambridgeshire.

These range from family support, befriending to specialist support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down’s syndrome.

We also offer residential care, supported living and respite care, as well as a hydrotherapy pool dedicated to individuals with learning and physical disabilities.

Cambridgeshire Mencap is a registered charity and welcomes donations and volunteers to enhance what services we can offer to the local community.

For more information about volunteering, please contact Marika Newman on marika@cambridgeshiremencap.co.uk or telephone 01223 883141.
