Lucky Lisa Payne from Kedington was delighted to win £100 to spend with an independent business during a recent ‘Buy Local’ campaign to promote the benefit of shopping locally.

Lisa secured her prize by completing a review card for the Raj Mahal Indian restaurant in the High Street which was entered into a prize draw in an initiative by the bestof Haverhill.

She said: “I never win anything so I’m delighted to have picked up the prize.

“ I am going to spend the money with Kedington Butchers and stock up my freezer with some of their lovely meat.”

The Raj Mahal is a member of bestof Haverhill and has received more than 430 reviews praising the quality of the food and the service.

Elaine Carr from bestof Haverhill said: “They were the third most loved business in Haverhill in the Local and Loved Campaign run by bestof Haverhill in February this year, and were in the top 100 most loved businesses in the UK.

She added: I think it is great that Lisa has chosen to spend her money with Kedington Butchers.

“They are a local business using local suppliers where ever possible.”

The bestofhaverhill runs the Buy Local campaign annually.
