Police are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop road traffic on the A14 at Newmarket.

The incident happened at around 12.45pm on Friday 27 December on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 near to Newmarket. An HGV was in collision with a vehicle which then caused three vehicles to collide.

The HGV vehicle drove off without stopping.

There were no injuries but the A14 was closed for a short period whilst the cars, a Hyundai, Honda and Ford Mondeo were moved from the carriageway.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or from the driver of the white HGV lorry. Calls should be made to PC Ryan Harris at the Bury St Edmunds Roads Policing and Firearms Operations Unit on 101.
