Students in Haverhill have been helping to prepare a new set of specially designed gates that will form a focal point in one of the town's busiest streets.
The students from Castle Manor and Samuel Ward Colleges were joined by youngsters from Coupals Primary School in working on the metal leaves that form part of the unique gates.
Once finished they will go up at either end of Queen Street to prevent vehicles using the road between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday.
The design of the gates, which are being made by Haverhill firm Metcraft, is based on huge leaves arranged to form a crown, in reference to the street's name.
