War veteren Joe Warren, who has one leg, upset at being told he is 'not disabled enough' to get transport to hospital

War veteran Joe Warren, 89, from Haverhill was refused free transport to appointments at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge because he was not deemed disabled enough.

The decision was taken despite Mr Warren having a prosthetic leg and needing crutches to walk.

Castle Manor College revealed plans at the end of April to undergo a rebuilding programme as part of its vision to become Haverhill’s first all-through academy school.
