No trick just treat at the Light Party

A HAVERHILL church is holding an alternative to the traditional Hallowe'en celebrations on October 31, by hosting a Light Party.

With elderly or vulnerable residents often concerned by the impending approach of Hallowe'en – which has its roots in the Pagan festival of Samhain – and many religious leaders nowadays expressing fears about the dark nature of modern day Hallowe'en celebrations, the Light Party will be a positive event, say the organisers.
