Great Thurlow Hall is having a Garden Open Day and plant sale on Sunday, June 8 from 2pm - 5pm with home-made teas and a nature trail.
Visitors can enjoy a lovely afternoon in a beautiful 15 acre garden developed in the last century, with canal-side walks (an offshoot of the River Stour), trout lake, extensive lawns and shrubs, yew hedges, arboretum, rose garden, herbaceous borders and a large walled kitchen garden with a vinery, berry cage, espaliered fruit and a variety of apple trees alongside mixed picking borders and vegetable patches.
Plants for sale include many of the varieties seen in the garden.
Admission £4 for adults, free for children under 16. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
